Featured Charity :: Scarsdale PBA for Wounded Veterans at Walter Reed Family Assistance Center:

May 29th, 2007 - The Scarsdale Police Benevolent Association is launching their second annual fund raising drive to purchase prepaid telephone calling cards to support those military personnel convalescing at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC.  The calling cards are distributed by the Family Assistance Center located in Walter Reed Hospital and allow the recovering soldiers contact with family and friends without the incurrence of personal expense. The calling cards will be delivered to Walter Reed Medical Center by Scarsdale PBA personnel during August of 2007 along with a list of all organizations and persons that supported this worthy cause.  The 2006 drive resulted in the purchase of three hundred and fifty calling cards.    


Those wishing to make a donation are asked to make their check payable to the Scarsdale PBA Calling Card Drive and mail to PO BOX 5, Scarsdale, New York 10583.  Questions can be directed to PBA President (Detective) Russ Morvant at 914-722-1148.
